Dear Reader,

It’s that time of the year again: the German SAP User Group, DSAG, is hosting their yearly conference – one of the biggest dedicated to SAP, the business software provider from Walldorf, Germany.

And considering the importance that SAP software represents in any company using it, it’s no surprise that security will be an important topic.

For those who don’t know what SAP does: as mentioned above, they provide business software, most notably ERP systems. Which are, literally, at the core of every company. To put that in numbers:

Companies with SAP Software:

  • Manufacture thousands of TVs
  • Move millions of passengers through air, land and sea
  • Produce thousands of cars

But more importantly:

72% of the world’s beer production somehow touches an SAP system.

With that being said, for various reasons SAP systems are often neglected when it comes to security. How that can change is the topic of this newsletter.

This newsletter is sponsored by SecurityBridge - 360° Cybersecurity for SAP.

So we have brought this panel of experts to talk about how we can defend against the malicious use of the technology while we mine the benefits.
