Brian is an experienced senior product leader with over 20 years experience in guiding strategic planning, business innovation, product development, and go-to-market execution in the B2B technology and services sector, with deep knowledge of market and technical elements of cybersecurity, telecoms, networking, IT, software, and related services.

Bruno Pavlicek is a Senior Investigator with the Corporate Security Department of a major telecommunications corporation.  He has over 25 years of experience in criminal and civil investigations between law enforcement and the private sector, specializing in fraud and non-traditional organized crime groups.  He is a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Forensic Interviewer, and currently serves as the President of the Georgia state chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  Bruno holds a PhD in Psychology, as well as a Master’s degree in Economic Crime Management.

Carl worked as a UK Police officer in London for 24 years, specialising in antisocial behaviour and court applications before moving into the Metropolitan Police’s Falcon fraud and cybercrime Command in 2014. He headed the Operational Development Team there and was responsible for all performance, intelligence, and other support functions of the Command. This work also included the specialist investigation of high value, cyber-related fraud and management of the Command’s tasking process. He has a BSc (Hons) in Policing and a Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership & Management.

Carl’s role at Mimecast, in addition to providing threat intelligence focussed on email threats blocked by Mimecast, he also oversees e-crime and cyber investigations. This adds a wider context to the attacks companies are facing and seeks to clarify the who and why of them being targeted.

Carlos Rivera is a Principal Research Advisor in Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance. Carlos has 25 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, primarily within the fintech industry. Prior to joining Info-Tech Research Group, Carlos spent 21 years as an information security officer for multi-billion-dollar business units dedicated to money movement in the P2P, B2C, and B2B space. Most recently, throughout his 21-year career with this Fortune 500 fintech, Carlos led global teams of security and network engineers, enterprise architects, risk managers and analysts that provided cybersecurity services to many global financial industry clients, and was responsible for information security governance, cyber risk management, vulnerability management, application security methodology and adoption focusing on shift-left fundamentals such as Static Analysis Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Analysis Security Testing (DAST), Open Source Security Testing (OSST), and Manual Application Security Testing (MAST).

His expertise covers all aspects of security architecture, cryptography, application security, cyber risk management as well as communication and transmission cybersecurity: SMTP, DNS, and file transmission mechanisms. In addition, Carlos has conducted presentations delivered in various symposiums, such as the Nevada IT Symposium focused on fintech cybersecurity.

Carlos holds numerous security certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified CheckPoint Systems Administrator (CCSA), Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP), Payment Card Industry Internal Security Assessor (PCI ISA), and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer + Internet (MCSE+I).

CEO at BLST Security, previously served as the head of a cybersecurity team in the Intelligence Corps in the Israeli Army, Chaim worked as a security architect of a virtual bank in Europe.

Charles Southwood has been the Regional VP for Denodo Technologies for the last 4 years and is responsible for the company’s business revenues in Northern Europe and Africa. Born and raised in Ascot, Berkshire with a degree in engineering, from Imperial College, London, Charles has over 25 years of experience in technology sales and sales leadership where he has been involved in both start-up ventures, and the expansion of existing businesses. He has a strong background in data integration, big data, IT infrastructure/IT operations and Business Analytics previously gained with Splunk, Oracle, BEA systems and BMC software. Charles is passionate about working in fast moving and innovative markets to support customer success and in aligning IT solutions to meet the changing needs of business.
