One of the most famous – or infamous – hackers of all time, Kevin Mitnick, passed on July 16th.
While early in his career he was definitely leaning towards the dark side of the hacking community, in later years, working as “Chief Hacking Officer” for KnowBe4, he probably did more for raising awareness to cybersecurity threats than most people.
Kevin Mitnick also contributed to Cyber Protection Magazine, with a video that attracted thousands of visitors. You can find it here:
We’ll not go into details of his eventful life, Wikipedia is a better source for this. We do say goodbye to one of the arguably most important persons in cybersecurity. Our condolences are with his family.
